Autumn House Adult Day Services provides a safe and inviting daytime environment for adults with special needs such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other physical impairments. The program helps clients engage in meaningful and therapeutic activities that meets their social, emotional and physical needs.
We provide flexible hours for our clients, assessment and monitoring of health status, medication administration, nutritious meals, personal care, music, art therapy, social activities, and exercise. Caregiver support and foot care by a licensed podiatrist are also available. Our skilled and experienced staff enjoys providing service for adults with special needs and trained volunteers assist with activities.
There are many reasons to consider using the services provided by Autumn House Adult Day Services. Delaying or eliminating nursing home placement of a loved one by using this program is often considered a major benefit. In addition, caregivers and families receive the opportunity for respite from the 24/7 responsibilities of taking care of their special loved one. Clients socialize, form friendships, and are surrounded by many caring individuals. There is opportunity to give care as well as receive care.
Autumn House Adult Day Services is a program of Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan, Inc., (CFSSWMI) an agency founded in 1891. We are a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization accredited by the Council on Accreditation and funded in part by United Way. The Adult Day Services at CFSSWMI were the first in the state of Michigan to be registered as Eden Alternative Centers, embracing a model of care based on the philosophy of self-determination and enhancing the lives of elders and their families.
Hourly and monthly rates, a sliding fee schedule, private pay, payment through Area Agency on Aging Medicaid waiver, VA coverage, or long term insurance are payment options that are available.
